Laura, a 38 year-old physical therapy assistant, is on her feet both at work and in her free time. At work she is demonstrating exercises, helping to transfer patients, and training them to walk again. It’s a very physical job. In her free time, she also enjoys physical activities, and is a hiker and runner with a love of the outdoors.

Nicole, 60, had lived with bunions on both feet for years. As a floral designer in the retail industry for many years, she had to work long hours standing on her feet – which was very painful. “When your feet hurt, everything hurts,” said Nicole when asked how bunions had affected her life.

  • Thomas G. Thomas G.

Thomas, a 58-year old Melbourne, Florida resident, could not walk more than a few hundred feet without experiencing burning pain. A bunion had formed on his left foot nearly five years ago and, over time, became unbearably painful.
